With the 26th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected wide receiver Breshad Perriman out of Central Florida. Here’s what our Football Insiders experts thought of the pick:

“The draft is working at its best when teams are able to select a capable replacement for a player who has either just departed or who is on his way out. That’s exactly what the Ravens do here by bringing in Breshad Perriman to replace free agent loss Torrey Smith. The best part for Baltimore is, they just got better. Perriman is a burner for sure, but he also has size that the Ravens have long lacked at the position. The way he cuts in and out of his routes is going to catch many a defender as well. And imagine all the other things about playing the position he can learn from Steve Smith. This is one of the best picks of the night.” – Devon Jeffreys

“The Ravens have filled the speed void left by Torrey Smith in free agency with Breshad Perriman. It’s hard to disagree with this pick in any way, though his hands have to get better.” – Alex Hickey

“It won’t be long now until you hear Baltimore Ravens fans saying, “Torrey Smith, who?” Breshad Perriman has elite speed, and will immediately become a deep threat for Joe Flacco. Baltimore needed to address receiver in this draft, and Ozzie Newsome was likely thrilled that Perriman was available so late in round one. Perriman may not be polished enough to have the kind of impact some of the earlier draft picks at the position, or last year’s first round wide receivers, but he has a skill set that will get him there over time.” – Pat Donovan

“Not only do I love Breshad Perriman as a player, I love the fit with the Baltimore Ravens too. Perriman can flat-out fly and he’ll be an immediate upgrade over the departed Torrey Smith. Perriman makes tough catches and struggled last season with concentration drops, which you do see with erratic quarterback play. Perriman will make Joe Flacco better and he’ll learn from one of the best in Steve Smith.” – Charlie Bernstein
