Ravens lose CB Davis with torn ACL
The Sports Xchange
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Will Davis is out for the season with a torn ACL suffered during Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Davis, 25, was acquired by the Ravens from the Miami Dolphins last month in exchange for a 2016 seventh-round NFL Draft pick. He made his Ravens debut in Week 4 and eventually became the team’s third cornerback.
Tests revealed Monday that Davis suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee in the Ravens’ 33-30 overtime loss to the Browns, dropping the Ravens to 1-4. He will become the ninth Raven to go on season-ending injured reserve this season. Davis also tore his ACL last November while with the Dolphins.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Davis was a third-round pick by the Dolphins out of Utah State in 2013.
