Baltimore Ravens defensive end Brent Urban has a torn biceps and faces the prospect of missing his second season in a row.

Urban reportedly was injured during practice Thursday, and an MRI on Friday night revealed the tear.

Urban is expected to miss at least 12 weeks. The Ravens could place him on short-term injured reserve or season-ending IR.

Earlier in the week, the Ravens lost safety Matt Elam for the season to the same injury.

Urban, a 2014 fourth-round pick who missed his rookie season with a torn ACL, had been competing with Chris Canty for a starting spot.

Urban tweeted (edited), “I appreciate the support and hate. I will channel my frustration into training and again come back as if I never got injured sooner than you think.”
