DENVER — The NFL debut of Baltimore’s first-round pick is on hold for at least a week.

Wide receiver Breshad Perriman, the 26th overall selection in the NFL draft last spring, was among the Ravens players deactivated for Sunday’s season opener at Sports Authority Field.

Perriman has been dealing with a knee injury that he suffered at the beginning of training camp.

Baltimore backup running back Lorenzo Taliaferro also was deactivated because of a knee injury.

Other inactive players for the Ravens were cornerback Rashaan Melvin, offensive lineman Ryan Jensen, defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi, linebacker Za’Darius Smith and defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan.

Denver defensive end Kenny Anunike, who continues to recover from an arthroscopic knee procedure performed a month ago, was among the inactive players for the Broncos.

Also inactive for the Broncos were No. 3 quarterback Trevor Siemian, cornerbacks Curtis Marsh and Lorenzo Doss and linebacker Lerentee McCray.

Tight end Mitchell Henry and guard Shelley Smith rounded out the Broncos’ inactives.
