Rams suspect torn ACL for OT Long

Published

on

Left tackle Jake Long could be lost for the season with a knee injury, and he is in good company among the St. Louis Rams who left Kansas City limping.

Long was scheduled to undergo an MRI to confirm what the team suspects is a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Long needed surgery after he had the same injury 10 months ago and spent most of the offseason in aggressive rehab.

Right tackle Rodger Saffold and center Scott Wells also left the game with injuries.

Rookie Greg Robinson, a tackle at Auburn who was drafted to play guard, was forced to move to left tackle in Sunday’s 34-7 loss to the Chiefs. Quarterback Austin Davis was sacked seven times.
