Raiders sign CB Dockery

The Oakland Raiders signed cornerback James Dockery on Friday.

Dockery is joining the Raiders after spending the past three seasons in the secondary of the Carolina Panthers.

Last year, Dockery was re-signed by the Panthers in October after being one of the team’s final cuts in training camp. In seven games, the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder recorded 10 tackles. In 2013, he missed 11 games with a shoulder injury.

Dockery, 26, has 30 tackles in 31 games for the Panthers and Cleveland Browns since he entered the league in 2011 as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State.
