Raiders’ Jones-Drew on track to play vs. Dolphins

Published

Oakland running back Maurice Jones-Drew said he is healthy and expects to see plenty of action when the Raiders and the Miami Dolphins play Sunday in London.

Jones-Drew practiced fully Thursday for the first time since injuring his hand in Week 1 against the New York Jets. The injury forced him to miss the past two games.

Jones-Drew opened the season as the starting running back. In his place, Darren McFadden has struggled.

The Raiders are averaging just over 64 yards per game on the ground.

“Just trying to get on the field and help my man out,” Jones-Drew said, via NFL Media. “I feel we both do better if we both out there. So obviously he’s been taking the brunt of the carries and the brunt of the reps, so I want to get out there and try and give him a blow here and there and let him get his legs back underneath him so he can run.”
