QB Sanchez returning to Eagles on two-year deal
Quarterback Mark Sanchez is headed back to the Philadelphia Eagles on a two-year deal, according to reports.
Sanchez reportedly will make $9 million in base salary over the two seasons, with $5.5 million guaranteed and a maximum value of $16 million if he hits all of his incentives.
Sanchez signed a one-year contract with the Eagles last offseason after being released by the New York Jets. He spent this past season in a backup role with the Eagles.
Sanchez, 28, was pressed into starting duty after Nick Foles broke his collarbone during the Week 9 game. Sanchez finished the year with 2,418 yards, 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. His record as a starter was 4-4.
