QB Johnson back with 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers re-signed quarterback Josh Johnson to a one-year deal on Tuesday and released safety Bubba Ventrone.
Johnson is back with the 49ers after he was released last Friday to allow the team to sign Kassim Osgood for special teams.
When Johnson was not signed by another team, the 49ers reclaimed him. Blaine Gabbert and Johnson are the backups to starter Colin Kaepernick.
Johnson played at the University of San Diego when Harbaugh was the coach there.
