Pro Bowl to go Rio?
The Pro Bowl could be on the move again, and this time, the NFL’s all-star game would be a passport-required event.
Following the World Cup and Olympics, the Pro Bowl could be headed to Brazil in January 2017.
The past two years, the Pro Bowl has been played in Honolulu (2014) and Phoenix (2015).
With regular-season games in London, including the first division game in 2015 — AFC East rivals the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins — commissioner Roger Goodell said at the Super Bowl in Arizona that the NFL would continue to look at avenues to expand the game’s international reach.
“We have had a tremendous amount of focus on London, but we are looking at other markets,” Goodell said in January.
