Police ID laser suspect in Lions-Bills game

Published

on

Detroit police on Thursday said they have identified a suspect who is alleged to have shined a laser pointer at Buffalo players during Bills 17-14 victory over the ions at Ford Field on Sunday.

Mark Beslach was issued a misdemeanor citation for disorderly conduct. Beslach will have to appear in court and probably pay a small fine. It has also been reported that he will be banned from attending another NFL game.

The NFL began investigating the incident after the Bills complained to the league on Tuesday.

Before Sunday’s game, Beslach tweeted: “You see a green light on any of the bills players just laugh cause it’s me.” His Twitter account was subsequently deleted.

Police confiscated a laser pen he is suspected of using after Beslach.

“Got Kyle Orton complained to the ref when I got him with the laser,” Beslach wrote in another tweet.
