Players Upset With Bradshaw’s Criticism Of Mike Tomlin

See what Steelers players had to say about Terry Bradshaw’s criticisms of Mike Tomlin.

For whatever reason, Hall of Famer and Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw decided to rip head coach Mike Tomlin. On FS1, Bradshaw critiqued Tomlin’s coaching ability by calling him a “cheerleader guy”.

“I don’t know what he does,” said Bradshaw. “I don’t think he is a great coach at all. His name never even pops in my mind when we think about great coaches in the NFL.”

On Christmas Day, Pittsburgh defeated Baltimore in a thrilling 31-27 classic. With the win, Tomlin is now a five-time division champion to go along with two conference championships and a Super Bowl title to boot.

Despite all of the accolades, Bradshaw’s comments still bothered some of the players.

“We weren’t happy about it,” guard David DeCastro told ESPN. “Hopefully it will fire us up the rest of the way.”

“I pulled up ESPN around 10 p.m. [Friday] and was like, ‘What the hell is this?” DeCastro said. “I don’t get what the motivation is. Is this to get your name out there more or something? What are you doing?”

The Steelers will finish the regular season against the red-hot Cleveland Browns.
