Patriots re-sign WR Krause

The New England Patriots re-signed wide receiver Jonathan Krause to the practice squad Wednesday.

Krause, 22, was released from the practice squad last Friday. He originally joined the New England practice squad on Oct. 24. He entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Cleveland out of Vanderbilt on May 12. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder was released by the Browns on Aug. 25.

The Patriots also released defensive lineman Kona Schwenke from the practice squad.

Schwenke, 22, was signed by New England to the practice squad on Sept. 16. He originally was signed by Kansas City as a rookie free agent out of Notre Dame on May 19. The 6-4, 297-pounder was released by the Chiefs on Aug. 30 and spent 10 days on their practice squad before being released Sept. 11.
