Patriots DB King added to 53-man roster
The Sports Xchange
Defensive back Brandon King signed a contract with the New England Patriots and was elevated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, the team announced on Saturday.
To make room for King, the Patriots released defensive back Bradley Fletcher.
King, 22, was signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent out of Auburn in May. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder, was released on Sept. 5 and signed to the practice squad on Sept. 7.
Fletcher, 29, signed with the Patriots as an unrestricted free agent from the Philadelphia Eagles in March. The 6-foot, 205-pounder played in two of the Patriots first three games and registered 10 total tackles and a forced fumble.
