Patriots add KR Martin in trade with Texans
The Sports Xchange
The New England Patriots acquired wide receiver and kick returner Keshawn Martin from the Houston Texans, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday.
Martin was a fourth-round pick out of Michigan State in 2012 and totaled 416 yards and three touchdowns on 38 receptions while also contributing on special teams.
Terms of the trade, including the return for the Texans, weren’t immediately disclosed.
With the open roster spot, the Texans claimed offensive tackle Oday Aboushi off waivers from the New York Jets.
Aboushi, a fifth-round pick in 2013, was suspended for the opening game of the season for a violation of the NFL substance abuse policy while playing for the Jets. He started 10 games at left guard last season after playing left tackle in college at Virginia.
