Panthers WR Brown is questionable

Published

on

Wide receiver Philly Brown is questionable for the Carolina Panthers’ divisional playoff game Saturday in Seattle.

Brown, who suffered a shoulder injury against the Arizona Cardinals in the wild-card game last weekend, was limited in practice Friday.

If Brown cannot play, the Panthers are expected to use No. 3 quarterback Joe Webb as a receiver. He played the position in Minnesota.

Also listed as questionable are safety Thomas DeCoud (hamstring), linebacker A.J. Klein (ankle) and cornerback Melvin White (ankle).

The Panthers already knew they would be without defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, who suffered a broken foot earlier this week. Colin Cole is expected to play for him.

For the Seahawks, tight end Tony Moeaki is questionable with a calf injury and safety Jeron Johnson is out with an elbow injury.

But center Max Unger will return, giving the Seahawks their starting five linemen for the first time since Week 5.

Also listed as probable for Seattle: wide receiver Jermaine Kearse (hamstring), running back Marshawn Lynch (back), cornerback Byron Maxwell (illness) and cornerback Tharold Simon (shoulder).
