Panthers waive OL Kugbila
The Sports Xchange
The Carolina Panthers waived offensive lineman Edmund Kugbila, who was a fourth-round draft choice in 2013.
The 6-foot-4, 325-pound Kugbila, a guard from Valdosta State, never appeared in a game for the Panthers.
Kugbila was let go Wednesday after spending his entire rookie season on injured reserve with a left knee injury and all of 2014 on injured reserve with a back injury.
The Panthers also signed defensive tackle Chas Alecxih, who was a tryout player at the team’s rookie minicamp.
Alecxih was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent from Pittsburgh in 2012 and was on their practice squad for 15 games. He also has spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers.
