Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy’s domestic violence trial has been scheduled for Feb. 9, ESPN.com reported Sunday.

Hardy was arrested in May on charges of assaulting and threatening his former girlfriend during a dispute at his apartment.

Hardy was found guilty in July of domestic violence by a Mecklenburg County (N.C.) district court judge, but he then requested a jury trial, which was originally scheduled for Nov. 17, 2014.

Hardy was placed on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list before the third game this season. He received all of his $13.1 million salary that was guaranteed when Carolina placed the franchise tag on him.

According to ESPN, Hardy also was scheduled to receive two playoff checks from the Panthers, who lost 31-17 to the Seattle Seahawks in a divisional-round game Saturday night.
