Packers S Richardson injures neck
The Sports Xchange
Green Bay Packers safety Sean Richardson has suffered a season-ending neck injury and the condition could end his NFL career.
Richardson has a herniated disk in his neck for the second time in his career, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Richardson underwent a fusion surgery after suffering a similar injury in 2012 and missed the entire 2013 campaign.
The Packers added Richardson to their injury report on Thursday after he reported pain following Wednesday’s practice. The severity of the injury became known on Friday.
The 25-year-old Richardson is in his fourth NFL season. He is one of Green Bay’s best special teams’ players.
