Packers’ Rodgers, Lacy probable

Published

on

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers and running back Eddie Lacy are listed as probable on the Green Bay Packers’ final injury report ahead of their meeting against the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

Coach Mike McCarthy said he was being cautious Thursday when he limited Lacy in practice because of a knee problem and Lacy looked fine as the Packers prepared to fly to Seattle on Friday.

Rodgers has been dealing with a calf injury for several weeks but has always been expected to play Sunday.

Seahawks players saw what he did in the Packers’ 26-21 win over the Dallas Cowboys — 24 of 35 for 316 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions — and said they are going to prepare for a healthy Rodgers.

“We know he’s a little banged up, but he looked just fine to me in that last game,” linebacker K.J. Wright said. “He was making most of his throws. He didn’t scramble as much and get out of the pocket as he’s done in the past; but, for the most part, he’s making all of his throws and he looks just fine. So we’re going to treat him like he’s healthy and like he’s 100 percent. I expect them to run the similar plays that they have in the past.”

The Packers’ only other listed injured players are guard Josh Sitton (toe) and defensive lineman Josh Boyd (ankle), who are both probable.
