Oher’s deal with Panthers is worth $7 million

Offensive tackle Michael Oher’s two-year contract with the Carolina Panthers is worth $7 million and includes a $2.5 million signing bonus, according to reports.

The Panthers signed Oher on Friday.

According to a breakdown from Pro Football Talk, he will receive a salary of $850,000 this year, $250,000 in total per-game roster bonuses and a workout bonus of $150,000.

The deal includes a $500,000 roster bonus on the third day of the 2016 league year, a $2.35 million salary, $150,000 in workout bonuses and up to $250,000 in per-game roster bonuses.

Oher, a first-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2009, joins the Panthers after starting 11 games with the Tennessee Titans in 2014. The Titans released him Feb. 5.

Oher will be reunited with offensive line coach John Matsko, who coached the tackle in Baltimore in 2009 and 2010.
