No-show WR Harvin a hot topic in London
The Sports Xchange
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin is not with the team in London but has been the most discussed player on the team this week.
Harvin did not travel with the team because of what coach Rex Ryan described as a personal issue on Wednesday. He still wasn’t around Thursday, when the Buffalo News reported Harvin might contemplate retirement because he’s frustrated by hip and knee injuries.
ESPN reported hours later, citing a source, that Harvin’s frustration over injuries was accurate but refuted reports he is weighing retirement.
For Ryan’s part, he offered no clarity on Thursday.
“I’m not going to say anything more than what we said yesterday about it,” Ryan said. “I don’t know where he is right now.”
The Bills (3-3) are beseiged by injuries, including quarterback Tyrod Taylor (knee), wide receiver Sammy Watkins (ankle) and defensive tackle Kyle Williams (knee). All three starters were ruled out Thursday for Sunday’s game against Jacksonville.
