NFL Roundup: Eagles QB Tebow tosses two TDs

In his bid to earn a job as the Eagles’ third quarterback, Tim Tebow threw for two touchdowns Thursday as Philadelphia lost 24-18 to the New York Jets in East Rutherford, N.J.

Tebow completed 11 of 17 passes for 189 yards with one interception. Matt Barkley, Tebow’s competition to earn the job behind Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez, went 4-for-5 for 45 yards with an interception.

Jets quarterback Josh Johnson ran seven times for 76 yards. He also completed seven of 12 passes for 82 yards. New York quarterback Matt Flynn finished 10-for-14 for 136 yards with two TD passes and an interception.

Buccaneers 22, Dolphins 17

Linebacker Khaseem Greene returned a third-quarter interception 98 yards for a touchdown, leading Tampa Bay to a win over Miami in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon completed 11 of 20 passes for 141 yards with one touchdown pass and two interceptions.

Both Dolphins quarterbacks who played — Josh Freeman and McLeod Bethel-Thompson — threw two interceptions and no touchdown passes.

Bengals 9, Colts 6

Kicker Tom Obarski booted a tiebreaking 28-yard field goal with 2:49 to play, lifting Cincinnati to a win at Indianapolis.

Mike Nugent kicked 41- and 35-yard field goals for the Bengals in the first half. Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri replied with a pair of 26-yard field goals in the second half.

Bengals quarterback AJ McCarron finished 15-for-28 for 219 yards. Cincinnati wide receiver Brandon Tate caught four passes for 77 yards.

Falcons 20, Ravens 19

Baltimore quarterback Bryn Renner’s attempted two-point conversion pass for fullback Kiero Small was incomplete in the game’s final minute, and Atlanta held on for a home win.

Renner threw a 10-yard scoring pass to wide receiver Daniel Brown two plays after Brown blocked a punt deep in Falcons territory.

Atlanta quarterback Sean Renfree went 10-for-15 for 75 yards and a touchdown, while newly signed teammate Rex Grossman completed four of nine passes for 41 yards.

Packers 38, Saints 10

Quarterback Brett Hundley threw four touchdown passes, two of them to wide receiver Myles White, and the Packers rolled to a blowout of the Saints in Green Bay, Wis.

Hundley hit on 16 of 23 passes for 236 yards, including a 77-yard connection with wide receiver Larry Pinkard.

Saints quarterback Luke McCown completed all five of his passes for 82 yards and a touchdown.

Jaguars 17, Redskins 16

Jason Myers, who won the Jaguars’ placekicking job this week when the team dealt Josh Scobee to Pittsburgh in exchange for an undetermined draft pick, booted a 46-yard field goal with 3:32 remaining, lifting Jacksonville to a win over Washington at Landover, Md.

Myers made two extra points and missed a 56-yard field goal attempt.

Both teams played a single backup quarterback the entire game. The Jaguars’ Stephen Morris was 16-for-25 for 160 yards and a touchdown, while the Redskins’ Colt McCoy went 22-for-33 for 208 yards and a touchdwon.
