NFL Investigating Giants Use Of Walkie-Talkies
Find out why the NFL is investigating the New York Giants.
The New York Giants are looking like one of the league’s most dangerous teams right now, especially after defeating the Dallas Cowboys for the second time. However, during their primetime matchup, the Giants were experiencing some communication issues.
Apparently, head coach Ben McAdoo’s communication equipment went down, forcing the Giants to use walkie-talkies in the meantime. Unfortunately, this is against league policy.
“League policy prohibits a coach from using such devices in a game,” an NFL spokesman told NFL.com, “because he would not be cut off from talking by the switch operator for the coach-to-player helmet communication system. Communication is cut off when the play clock reaches 15 seconds or when the ball is snapped.”
At this juncture, there’s no update on whether or not the league will punish the Giants in any way shape or form. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this situation.
