New York Giants defensive end Damontre Moore has been fined $20,000 by the NFL for his late hit on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, according to NJ.com.

Moore hit Bradford long after the quarterback had thrown an incomplete pass on third down in the first quarter of Monday night’s 27-7 loss to the Eagles.

Moore was fined $10,000 last year for a hit on Tennessee Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger and was also fined for a late hit in 2013 against the Minnesota Vikings.

According to NJ.com, the league elected to levy a heavier penalty on Moore for his body-slam several seconds after Bradford released the football. Moore was flagged for roughing the passer.

“Honestly, I think it was just part of me just having poor football IQ, and not (being) aware of the rules of dumping (Bradford),” Moore said after the game. “Because I dumped him, honestly, I was just trying to make a play and be a high-energy guy. I’m going out there, and I’m trying to run from sideline to sideline and just hit somebody as hard as I can. There’s no excuse.”
