MRI Reveals Richard Sherman Sprained Elbow
Tests have revealed promising news for the Seattle Seahawks and star cornerback Richard Sherman.
NFL Media’s Albert Breer reported Monday that an MRI showed that Sherman suffered a sprained elbow during Sunday’s NFC Championship Game win over the Green Bay Packers. He should be able to play in Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1.
Sherman played much of the second half Sunday favoring his left arm after colliding with teammate Kam Chancellor at the end of a James Starks run. A grimacing Sherman was in obvious pain each time Fox cameras cut to the All-Pro on the sideline. He kept his injured arm in a bent position while on the field.
