Mike Zimmer To Coach With Special Sunglasses

Find out why Mike Zimmer will coach with sunglasses.

Through the first five weeks of the season, it appeared the Minnesota Vikings were well on their way to being legitimate Super Bowl contenders, despite being without Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson. However, the team has faltered over the past few weeks, losing six of their last seven games.

During that timeframe, head coach Mike Zimmer has undergone two surgeries on his detached retina earlier this month. Rather than missing more time, Zimmer will be provided with special sunglasses today against the Jaguars.

“I’m not going to worry about it. The doctor just doesn’t want me to get hit. That’s all. So we’ll be OK.”

With the Colts and Packers looming, the Vikings can’t afford to drop this one.
