Mike Zimmer: “I’m Tired Of Losing”

Mike Zimmer explains why he’s tired of losing.

Through the first five weeks of the season, no one expected the Minnesota Vikings to be in this position right now. Mike Zimmer’s ballclub raced out to a quick (5-0) start despite being without Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson.

Since then, Minnesota has lost six of their last eight games. Fortunately, there’s still an opportunity for them to sneak into the playoffs, but the road is much more difficult than it could’ve been. This past Sunday, the Vikings defeated Jacksonville 25-16, but Zimmer still isn’t pleased.

“We’re losing. Yeah, I’m tired of it. I’m tired of losing, I’m tired of penalties, I’m tired of not living up to our ability,” Zimmer stressed. “I’m tired of it, I’m not going to stand for it.”

Minnesota’s best chance is to win out, which would place them at (10-6). That still might not be enough in a crowded NFC wildcard race, however, it would have them right in the thick of things. Their last three games are against Indianapolis, Green Bay, and Chicago.
