Mike McCoy Isn’t Concerned About Job Security

Find out why Mike McCoy isn’t concerned about his job security.

At (5-7), no one believes the San Diego Chargers are a bad football team. Underachieving? Probably, but bad, no way. Nonetheless, that might not be enough to keep head coach Mike McCoy’s job secure moving forward.

Following their devastating 28-21 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Diego is in serious jeopardy of missing the playoffs for the third straight season.

McCoy was asked about his future.

“I’m worried about Carolina right now,” McCoy said. “That is all I’m concerned about. We have to find a way to go win this one. We got to find a way to go out there and don’t turn the ball over, be more consistent in all three phases, finish the game and win. That is all we are concerned about right now is to get a win on the road. We will deal with everything else down the road.”

The way San Diego finishes the season will most likely play a major factor if the organization decides to move forward with or without McCoy as their sideline general.
