Matthew Stafford On Dislocated Finger: “It Impacted Me”
See how Matthew Stafford will deal with an injured finger.
It wasn’t pretty, but the Detroit Lions outlasted the Chicago Bears 20-17. During the contest, quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered a dislocation and torn ligaments in his right middle finger. As the Lions hold a two-game lead in the NFC North with just three games remaining, an injury to Stafford isn’t what this team needs.
However, Stafford isn’t too worried about it.
“The finger’s OK. It’ll get better. I had to throw the glove on to help with some grip. It impacted me but the guys ended up playing well to help us win the game,” Stafford said.
In 2011, Stafford wore a glove because of his broken index finger, so it’s just a matter of comfortability at this point.
“It just takes some getting used to,” Stafford said.
Detroit’s last three contests are against the Giants, Cowboys and Packers.
