Marcus Mariota Set To Have Surgery Wednesday
Find out how long Marcus Mariota will be out following surgery.
The Tennessee Titans playoff aspirations came to a screeching halt when sophomore quarterback Marcus Mariota went down and was forced to leave the field on a cart. Following the MRI, it was revealed that Mariota fractured his fibula.
The former Heisman trophy winner is set to have surgery tomorrow, which will include the insertion of a plate in his leg. Expected recovery time is four to five months. Mariota finished the season with a touchdown to interception ratio of 26 to 9 while having a 95.6 quarterback rating.
In Mariota’s absence, veteran Matt Cassel will get the start in the season finale against the Houston Texans.
