INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is still trying to get used to the 2014 season coming to a close.

“The suddenness of it is, it hits you. It’s like all your energy, all your adrenaline is sort of zapped,” Luck said. “You lose a bit of sense of purpose in what you’re doing and obviously you regain it, it comes back, but for the first couple of days, it’s weird. It really is and there’s really no way to prepare for it.”

Luck was asked if it was tough to come to grips that 2014 was a successful season after falling short in the AFC Championship Game.

“Yeah, it is, it is because you have your sights set higher. You have goals that you want to reach and at the end of the day, we didn’t reach the ultimate one,” he said. “But there are certain things to be proud of in getting to this point, and a great locker room, great people.”

Meanwhile, the Colts have now lost four one-sided games to the New England Patriots since Luck took over as the Indianapolis quarterback. He admits that he’s getting tired of experiencing the same feeling after each meeting.

“A bit, yeah, it is. It felt like deja vu after the game going to that same little press conference room (answering) the same sort of questions, and just during the game similar things,” he said.

“We’ll have to figure it out; I think it’s cut-and-dry, pretty simple in my mind. You’re going to have to figure out a way to beat them because they are the class of the conference.”

The Colts will face the Patriots at home during the 2015 regular season.
