ALLEN PARK, Mich. — The Detroit Lions are hoping for some reform to the review process after being on the wrong end of yet another officiating error. In Monday’s loss, the referees didn’t penalize Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright for illegally batting the ball out of the end zone, which would’ve given the Lions the ball inside the 1-yard with 1:45 remaining.

“Obviously, I don’t understand how certain things are reviewable and certain things aren’t,” Quin said. “If you’re looking at it, if you see something that’s not right, to me, it’s hard to go to sleep at night knowing that something probably could’ve been done, but it’s not reviewable or whatever so you just let it go.”

The Lions proposed last year to have any play in which a penalty is called reviewable. That rule wouldn’t have helped them as the officials didn’t throw a flag, but head coach Jim Caldwell thinks the league needs to make some changes.

“We have the technology to do so,” he said. “It’s not the Ice Age.”

–Lions cornerback Darius Slay hopes to trade jerseys with Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson after the game. Behind Joe Haden and Darrelle Revis, Slay thinks Peterson is the best cornerback in the league.

“I told my boy (Cardinals safety) Tony Jefferson, ‘Hey man, tell Pat Pete I need his jersey after the game,'” Slay said Wednesday. “I’ve got to have the greats.”

–Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford took the blame for missing on a couple deep passes to wide receiver Calvin Johnson Monday night. Johnson has just one catch on a pass that traveled 20-plus yards this season.

“Just two poor throws,” Stafford said. “He did a good job of getting separation. The first one, I just overshot him, a little bit too careful with the football. And then the second one, cut it loose and we’re a foot off. You’re not going to hit all of them. You definitely would’ve liked to hit one of those two, put a little air in the football.”

Notes: Linebacker DeAndre Levy (hip) was a full participant in practice and is on track to make his season debut on Sunday. … Running back Joique Bell (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, and after missing Sunday’s game, he likely won’t play again in Week 5. … Tight end Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring) returned to practice after missing the last three games, and despite being limited, he’ll likely play Sunday.
