Lions sign five draft picks, add 12 free agents

The Detroit Lions signed five of their picks in the 2015 NFL Draft and 12 undrafted free agents on Thursday.

Signing four-year contracts were third-round cornerback Alex Carter, fourth-round defensive tackle Gabe Wright, fifth-round fullback Michael Burton, sixth-round cornerback Quandre Diggs and seventh-round tackle Corey Robinson. No additional contract information was announced by the Lions.

The undrafted rookie signees were quarterback Anthony Boone; guards Al Bond and Torrian Wilson; running backs Zach Zenner and Rasheed Williams; safeties Brian Suite and Isaiah Johnson; wide receivers Vernon Johnson and Desmon Lawrence; linebacker Kevin Snyder; tight end Casey Pierce and kicker Kyle Brindza.

Two of the Lions’ seven draft picks — first-round guard Laken Tomlinson and second-round running back Ameer Abdullah — remained unsigned.
