Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford wore a bulky wrap on his right elbow on Monday, be he expects to play in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
“I’ll be good to go,” Stafford told the Detroit Free Press.
San Diego Chargers linebacker Melvin Ingram hit Stafford’s elbow with his helmet on the Lions’ first series of the second half. Stafford finished the game and wore a sleeve on his right arm for most of the second half. He completed 19 of 30 passes for 246 yards on Sunday.
Lions coach Jim Caldwell did not provide an update on Stafford’s arm on Monday, but receiver Corey Fuller told the Free Press that Stafford participated in the team’s Monday walk-through.
Stafford, who has made 67 consecutive starts, said he would discuss his injury further on Wednesday.
