Lions’ Montell Owens Placed on Injured Reserve
Montell Owens will have his season cut short for the second straight year, as the fullback and special teams whiz was placed on injured reserve by the Detroit Lions.
Owens joined the Lions in 2013 after seven years in Jacksonville. He played in 104 games with the Jaguars and gained 292 yards on 56 carries with three touchdowns. Since coming to Detroit, he hasn’t been able to stay healthy. In two seasons, he played in four games for the Lions.
