Lions lose S Carey, LB Tulloch vs. Packers
A fourth contributor in the defensive backfield is down with an injury for the Detroit Lions, who lost safety Don Carey with a hamstring pull in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
Perhaps more painful to the team an player was middle linebacker Stephen Tulloch’s injury. He went down with a left knee injury suffering a sack of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Tulloch was singled out by Rodgers during his midweek press conference in Green Bay as one of the more underrated players in the NFC North.
Tulloch took down Rodgers and left the field and, in response, the Packers went 60 yards for a touchdown on a drive that ended with tight end Andrew Quarless’ 10-yard touchdown catch from Rodgers.
Carey scored the first touchdown of the game, a 40-yard fumble return on which he scooped up the ball when Packers running back Eddie Lacy coughed it up in the first quarter.
