Lions, DeAndre Levy Yet to Discuss Extension
The Lions had a major defensive piece hit free agency this year when defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh turned into the biggest fish on the open market and swam away for Miami.
They could have another key player in the same position next year. Linebacker DeAndre Levy won’t draw the kind of attention or salary that Suh received, but he’s become a vital part of Detroit’s defense and his contract is set to expire after the 2015 season. Negotiations with Suh halted once training camp got underway, but Lions president Tom Lewand said it’s too early to say whether the same will be true of Levy because there haven’t been any talks yet.
