Lions DC Teryl Austin isn’t Worried About Coaching Rumors

See why Teryl Austin isn’t worried about coaching rumors.

For the past couple years, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin’s name has been circulating in head coaching rumors. With the Lions sitting in first place in the NFC North with a record of (7-4), Austin’s name is back in the headlines.

“I’m not even worried about that right now,” Austin said, via ESPN.com. “I’m just trying to get our guys — been through two years of that — and so what I’m worried about right now, the best thing I can do, is worry about our team and what we’re going to do.

“All that other stuff means nothing.”

Typicaly coach speak mid-season, but as soon as the off-season hits, it’s doubtful Austin will be singing the same song.
