Jordy Nelson: “I Just Can’t Be Out There Slowly Running”

Find out the latest on Jordy Nelson’s injury.

Although Green Bay was able to get past the New York Giants without Jordy Nelson, many didn’t believe they would be able to dethrone Dallas without the services of Nelson, but they proved the naysayers wrong again.

Now, as Green Bay looks to reach the Super Bowl, they’ll have to take down Matt Ryan and company in their last game ever played at the Georgia Dome.

For the first time since suffering his rib injury, Nelson returned to practice Wednesday. He caught some balls and participated in some very light running.

“(Sunday) is obviously a long ways away. I’ve improved every day. Hopefully that continues,” Nelson said. “I’ve got to be able to go out and perform. I just can’t be out there slowly running or just being some random person.

“I’ve never played receiver with broken ribs. We’ll find out (what it’s like), hopefully. If it happens, we’ll see how it goes. Right now, I’m just focused on getting back to full motion and doing everything and seeing if we can get that opportunity.”

Considering the state of fellow wide receivers Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison, and Jeff Janis, Rodgers could surely use Nelson.
