John Elway Claims QB Isn’t A Major Concern

Find out why John Elway isn’t concerned about the quarterback position.

After the Denver Broncos won their third Super Bowl title a season ago, there was a major need at the quarterback position with future hall of famer Peyton Manning retiring. Now, as the Broncos prepare to sit home during the playoffs for the first time since 2010, many are wondering if it’s time for them to look elsewhere under center.

Trevor Siemian showed flashes of what he may be able to become one day, but all in all, it was a massive struggle for this offensive unit throughout the course of the season and Paxton Lynch just isn’t ready yet.

However, John Elway feels good about his two young prospects.

“I’m excited about the quarterbacks we have,” Elway said Monday. “Last year that was the biggest concern. This year is not.”

When asked if he’ll look to bring in a veteran, Elway didn’t rule out the possibility.

“Never say never…” he said. “Right now we’re going forward (with two young QBs) but we are always looking at everything.”

As the offseason approaches, expect to hear more Tony Romo whispers.
