Jets work out WR Terrelle Pryor
The Sports Xchange
Terrelle Pryor was scheduled to work out for the New York Jets on Tuesday.
Pryor, the former Ohio State quarterback drafted by the Oakland Raiders, moved to wide receiver and spent most of the preseason with the Cleveland Browns. He worked out for the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks since the start of the regular season.
When the Browns parted with Pryor, coach Mike Pettine said he was capable of playing in the NFL as a wide receiver.
“Terrelle certainly has the ability to make the transition to receiver,” Pettine said. “We were hopeful that we were going to be able to have that time to do it, but that, to me, is viewed as a luxury.”
