Jets QB Bryce Petty To Start Final Four Games

See why Bryce Petty is going to start in the Jets final four games.

Ryan Fitzpatrick may have played his last game in a New York Jets uniform last night. As the Colts pounded  the Jets to the tune of 41-10, Fitzpatrick didn’t help his cause moving forward one bit. The veteran only completed 5 of 12 passes for 81 yards with an interception.

Things were so bad that head coach Todd Bowles elected to throw in second-year quarterback Bryce Petty. The former Baylor standout wasn’t much better, as he completed 11 of 25 passes for 135 yards with a touchdown and two picks.

However, Bowles will be running with Petty for the last quarter of the season.

“Well the plan was for us to start him the last four games anyway so we just started a half early,” Bowles said. “We could have won 45-0, he was going to start the last four games.”

With last night’s loss, the Jets have been officially eliminated from playoff contention.
