Jets cut 12, reduce roster to 78

The New York Jets cut 12 players, including wide receiver DeVier Posey, to reduce their roster to 78 on Sunday.
Posey was acquired in a trade with the Houston Texans during the draft. Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan was familiar with Posey from their time together in Houston.
NFL teams must reduce their roster to 75 players by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
Other players released were: CB Javier Arenas, OL James Brewer, CB Curtis Brown, C Dalton Freeman, WR T.J. Graham, WR Saalim Hakim, WR Austin Hill, LB Bryan Johnson, TE Matt LaCosse, CB Keith Lewis and WR Jonathon Rumph.
