Jerry Jones Not Second Guessing Signing Weeden

Brandon Weeden’s 183-yard, two-interception performance against the Cardinals was unsettling on Sunday, even if the backup was playing against one of the hottest teams in football.

Weeden takes a ton of snaps during the week, which led the Cowboys organization to expect more out of the former first-round pick, who may be under center again next week when the Cowboys travel to London.

Instead, they got a performance that left them longing for Kyle Orton. Jerry Jones just wouldn’t admit it.

“I don’t second guess that at all because we lost games with those experienced quarterbacks, with the quarterbacks that were more experienced,” Jones told reporters. “As a matter of fact we got knocked out of the playoffs with the more experienced quarterback last year, and so I think it’s all relevant.”
