Jay Gruden: “We Were Flat Out-Coached”
Find out what Jay Gruden had to say after the loss to Carolina.
Heading into their big Monday night showdown against the Carolina Panthers, the Washington Redskins controlled their own destiny to the playoffs.
Not anymore.
After a disappointing showing, the Redskins will now need some help. Not only does Washington have to win out, they need Tampa Bay and Green Bay to both lose once more or Detroit to lose out. It’s possible, but this isn’t the predicament they wanted to be in.
“We were flat out-coached,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said. “There’s no question about that. We weren’t as ready as I would have liked to have been. We didn’t execute like I would like to have seen. That falls on my shoulders.”
The Redskins last two games are against the Bears and Giants.
