Jaguars Sign Prince Amukamara To One-Year Deal

The Jaguars have signed Prince Amukamara. Find out how he fits into Gus Bradley’s defense.

ESPN is reporting that the Jacksonville Jaguars have come to terms with former New York Giants first-round pick Prince Amukamara.

The Jaguars continue their free agent spending which has included multi-year deals with Malik Jackson, Chris Ivory, Tashaun Gipson, Brad Nortman and Mackenzy Bernadeau before inking the former University of Nebraska star.

When healthy, Prince is very good.  He’s long and can play physical, and doesn’t get beat all that often.  The problem has been health as he’s missed 25 games in his five-year career.

He will likely line up opposite Davon House and the team will move Aaron Colvin to slot cornerback.

If Amukamara is healthy, along with the acquisition of Tashaun Gipson, the Jaguars secondary will be significantly improved in 2016.
