Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Dwayne Gratz was arrested Sunday morning in Miami Beach, Fla., and charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing.

Gratz spent the night in jail and was released on $1,000 bond on Monday morning.

According to a police report by Miami Beach police, Gratz — who appeared intoxicated — tried to use bubble gum as currency to buy items at a hotel store.

When Gratz refused to leave and created a disturbance, police were called. Gratz refused several orders from police to leave and was then arrested.

“He had an unfortunate situation over the weekend,” coach Gus Bradley said. “It’s not good, what took place, but it is a matter that we have to investigate even more. … I want to talk to him and then we’ll handle it within.”

Gratz, a third-round draft pick in 2013, has started seven games this season.
