Giants Seeking Acquisition of La’el Collins

First-round talent La’el Collins is available as a free agent. The Giants are, at the very least, monitoring the situation closely.

The Giants are “in the mix” for the LSU offensive lineman that experienced an unprecedented free fall out of the 2015 NFL Draft, a person with knowledge of the situation told NJ Advance Media.

Collins went undrafted as police wanted to question him following the death of a pregnant woman, who was believed to be an ex-girlfriend. He was not a suspect. The interview occurred on Monday, two days after the conclusion of the draft.

Teams are now believed to be courting Collins. Bills coach Rex Ryan reportedly met with Collins on Monday night and a contingent of former LSU and current Dolphins players were set to talk with him on Tuesday.
