Giants May Give OBJ More Chances To Return Punts

See if Odell Beckham Jr. will get more opportunities to return punts.

With punt returner Dwayne Harris out with a wrist injury and backup Bobby Rainey benched for fumbling, some are wondering if All-Pro receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will take over as the primary guy this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“I like when he has an opportunity to get his hands on the ball,” Ben McAdoo said. “He’s sure-handed back there and he’s electric with the ball in his hands.”

Giants punter Brad Wing is just glad he doesn’t have to worry about punting to OBJ.

“I’m glad I don’t have to punt to him,” Wing said. “I think they notice him. Whether it’s scary or not, the fact they notice him is a big deal. Once you notice a returner, you start to think about them and not yourself. His presence, it’s a big factor.”

Kickoff is set for 4:25 eastern time.
